Meet the owner.. It's me, lead photographer Dane. I rarely put myself out there on socials but this is who's behind the camera, the man with the plan. I'm 6'2 and all legs and arms, tower above most and really enjoy this photography business. There's nothing like it and I still get excited on photoshoots after more than a decade doing this. Why do I do this? Yes, it can be lonely. Yes, staring at the computer all day can be very boring. The upside is I get to be a guide, a counsellor, a friend, a colleague, a guest, and finally a memory maker. It's not just pressing a button, it's knowing which button and most importantly when (and when not) to press it is what separates 1 year on the job and 15 years. Fun facts: - I'm a dad of 2 incredible kids (NT and ND) - Married to a beautiful wife of nearly 10 years - I'm a qualified snowboard instructor - Love surfing - Once ran 54km over 9 hours through the bush - Drink 2 coffees a day, can handle some spice

Something different - for weddings I get to travel to venues of all sorts and as part of capturing the day I aim to bottle the feeling of a venue/place through images. This particular house on the northern beaches was so spectacular in how it presented but also how nature, particularly late afternoon light, danced around its design so effortlessly. A master stroke of design and building formed this paradise haven, something to aspire towards but possibly out of reach unless I can photograph 10 weddings a day for 4,000 years. As photographer's we're particularly interested in creating ways to add depth and variety to images. 60 seconds earlier we were capturing portraits in the archway and the sun decided to poke it's head out between the city buildings. It's tricky to get shadows that match the portrait with the direction of light and backgrounds but luckily we made it happen. The botanical gardens are a public place and there was about 25 people around me gawking but I couldn't have cared less, gives them something to talk about.. quite a few of them starting taking smartphone pics also so i'll take that as a compliment the setup was good! A beautiful highlight reel set to 2-3 songs of your choice is a really beautiful keepsake, beautifully captured and tastefully edited. I don't tend to put of the highlight reels we shoot on the website due to their huge file size and websites like squarespace tend to compress and lower the quality but if you're interested in adding video send me a DM to share many-many reels as samples of our work.
